What are the uses of Formaldehyde (HCHO) ?  

Formaldehyde (HCHO) is used in making building materials and many household products. It is used in pressed-wood products, such as particleboard, plywood, and fiberboard; glues and adhesives; permanent-press fabrics; paper product coatings; and certain insulation materials. it is also used to embalm dead bodies and can often be found in Teaching Hospitals in the UK 

Is Formaldehyde (HCHO) Dangerous ? 

Formaldehyde can cause irritation of the skin, eyes, nose, and throat. High levels of exposure may cause some types of cancers. 

Ingesting as little as 30ml of solution containing 37 per cent of formaldehyde is enough to kill an adult

Formaldehyde (HCHO) is Flammable at room temperature Lower Explosive Limit is 7% in Atmosphere
