The Riken Keiki RI-600 is an indoor stand-alone Carbon Dioxide (CO2) monitor. When Carbon Dioxide(CO2) leaks into a room it will displace Oxygen (O2). This results in Oxygen deficiency. In addition Carbon Diixode (CO2) is highly toxic in it's own right.
The use of Carbon Dioxide (CO2) Monitors is extremely important, even small amounts of Carbon Dioxide (CO2) can cause fatalities long before Oxygen (O2) deficiency does.
The Carbon Dioxide (CO2) LTEL is 5,000 ppm or 0.5% volume. In otherwise fresh air, the oxygen channel will read 20.8 % volume, instead of 20.9% volume – nowhere near an asphyxiation hazard alarm. In fact, the STEL for Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is 1.5% volume, so even if the Carbon Dioxide (CO2) level reaches that point, it will only cause a reading of 20.6 % volume oxygen. The result - when there is an immediate danger from the Carbon Dioxide (CO2), the oxygen reading is still far away from an alarm response.
Allow connection to Remote control panel, PLC or BMS.
Easy to install.
Easy connection to external accessories such as remote sounder beacons , data loggers and dialers.
Displays real time actual Oxygen levels as desired by HSE Inspectors.
Readable alarm status.
Flexibility for all applications.
Eliminates false alarms due to pressure changes.
Monitor can be located outside the room with sensor inside, to evaluate adequacy of room prior to entry.
Allows modular system build to suit all requirements.
The RI-600 display CO2 levels on an LCD screen that changes colour at each alarm level. This is a unique feature of the Riken Keiki 600 series.
The Gas Detection Unit comes with pre-set alarms set to high and high high. Users can program their own alarm levels if desired, and access relay outputs for 1st and 2nd alarms in addition to a 4-20mA output. These features allow customers to connect optional external accessories, such as such as additional sounders and beacons.
Optional extras that include a Battery backed UPS ( WPSU-24 Series ) and additional sounder beacon(s) ( Accessories ) are available.
The Instrument comes ready to operate with a 24 VDC Power supply. An optional 240VAC Main adapter is also available.
The RI-600’s Sensor is highly accurate and extreme longevity. It uses Non-Dispersive Infrared Ray Absorption ( NDIR) technology to achieve this.
The RI-600 comes with a measurement range of 0-5% Volume OR 0-10000 ppm. Users can program levels for 0-2% or 0-2000 ppm or 0-5000 ppm if required.
An extender cable allows the unit to be mounted outside the room with the sensor inside. This allows users to evaluate the room for adequacy prior to entry.
In additon to office builidngs, laboratories, greweries, greenhouses, underground car parks and conference rooms are applications that can benefit from CO2 monitoring.
The RI-600 is a member of the 600 series of standalone monitors which include OX-600 Oxygen (O2) Monitor, EC-600 Carbon Monoxide (CO) Monitor and GM-600 Ethylene Oxide Monitor.
The RI-600 is a high performance, and cost effective solution when CO2 monitoring is required.
Accessories available include additional sounder beacons and battery backed power supplies.
