Many Ageing Tanker Vessels such as LNG carriers, Have Gas detetion systems that were installed at time of construction and are in some cases now over 20 or even 30 years old. Often these vessels still have years of service life left yet due to age the gas detection systems start to fail or spare parts have become unavailable.
In such cases Weatherall have the technical know how and experience to offer either partial upgrade or full replacelment of the old system at a Shipyard of your choice.
In the Case of LNG tankers this is usually at the time of the 5 year service.
