Many ageing Tanker Vessels such as LNG carriers, are installed with Gas Detection Systems. Gas Detection Systems would have been installed at time of build and are in some cases now over 20 x or even 30 x years old.
Vessels still have years of service life left, however due to vessel age, gas detection systems start to fail or spare parts become unavailable.
Weatherall have the technical competence and experience to offer partial upgrades or full replacement of the old systems at the appropriate shipyard.
In the case of LNG Tankers, this is usually required at the 5-x year service.
